Carcinogenesis, Teratogenesis & Mutagenesis (CTM) is the official Journal of Chinese Environmental Mutagen Society and is undertaken by Shantou University Medical College. It is the source journal for Chinese Scientific and Technical Papers and Citations. The impact factor is 0.379 and ranks fourth among more than 30 Chinese oncologic journals according to Chinese S&T Journal Citation Reports 2003.
It may be worth mentioning that the Journal has been included in 14 Chinese important indexing systems, including CSTPC, CEPS, CJFD, CMCC, CBMDISC, CAJ-CD and so on.

Huang Tianhua
 

  Professor of Biology and Genetics,Director of Research Center for Reproductive Medicine, Director of Cell Biology and Genetics of Shantou University Medical College. The Specialist enjoying special allowance from Government approved by State Council of China since 1992.
  He graduated from Biology Faculty of Sichuan University in 1967 and from the Postgraduate Class of Harbin Medical University in 1982. Then he, as a visiting scholar, went to Asahikawa Medical College of Japan, Medical School of Hawaii University and Medical College of Cornell University of USA to do research on Reproductive Genetics and Medicine.
  He is a Fellow, International Environmental Mutagen Society, Deputy General Secretary of Chinese Environmental Mutagen Society, Vice President of Guangdong Provincial Environmental Mutagen Society, Vice Chairman of the Committee of Ethnic & Law of Chinese Genetics Society, Member of Standing Committee of Guangdong Provincial Genetics Society, Member of Council of the 6th Committee of Science and Technology Association of Shantou City and President of Shantou municipal Genetics Society. He is also the Deputy Editor-in-Chief (Executor) of Editorial Board for the journal of Carcinogenesis, Teratogenesis and Mutagenesis, the Executive Member of Editorial Board for Chinese Journal of Practical Medicine, the Member of Editorial Board for National Journal of Andrology as well as for the journal of Genetics Section of Foreign Medical Sciences.
  He bore responsibility for 16 National and Provincial projects, and published 106 research articles, and received 4 academic awards issued by Ministry of Health, Ministry of Chemical Industry, and State Family Planning Commission of China and Sichuan Provincial Government. For his achievement in scientific research, he gained the title of National Excellent Research Worker in 1989 and the title of National Excellent Teacher in 1995, and was awarded the Medal “May 1” of Guangdong Province in 1997. In 2000 he gained the title of Excellent Worker issued by Shantou Municipal Government.

 
 
 
  Cheng Shujun is currently as a professor of Cancer Institute (Hospital), Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences & Peking Union Medical College, Beijing, China, and Chief Scientist of both China State Key Basic Research Project “Fundamental investigation of human carcinogenesis and cancer therapy and prevention” and Beijing key Cancer Research Project “Tumor biomarker profiling and human cancer diagnosis and therapy”. He worked as a visiting scientist in Laboratoire de Medicine Experimental, Institute de la Recherches Scientifiques sur le Cancer, France (1978-1981), and in Department of Pathology, Medical College of Ohio, USA (1986-1987). He has established a series of short-term tests for the detection of environmental carcinogens and anti-carcinogens in China. He was elected as a Member, Chinese Academy of Engineering in 1999. Dr. Cheng is the President of Chinese Environmental Mutagen Society, and Vice President of China Anticancer Association. He found that the tea catechins showed a significant inhibitory effect against human genital condylomas and inflammatory hyperplasia. Based on the invention, he and his collaborators had received international patents “Composition for treating condyloma acuminate” in 1998. This invention had been approved to go for clinical phase III trial by US FDA. As invited speakers, Dr. Cheng has visited many institutes at foreign countries and attended at international conferences.
