Carcinogenesis, Teratogenesis & Mutagenesis (CTM) is the official Journal of Chinese Environmental Mutagen Society and is undertaken by Shantou University Medical College. It is the source journal for Chinese Scientific and Technical Papers and Citations. The impact factor is 0.379 and ranks fourth among more than 30 Chinese oncologic journals according to Chinese S&T Journal Citation Reports 2003.
It may be worth mentioning that the Journal has been included in 14 Chinese important indexing systems, including CSTPC, CEPS, CJFD, CMCC, CBMDISC, CAJ-CD and so on.
Editorial board of CTM deeply appreciated what you have done for us and looks forward to your further attention and contribution.

Li En-min

Professor Li En-min, born in August 1963,is now the director at the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, Medical college of Shantou University. He is also the mentor for postgraduate, doctoral and post-doctoral students. He has been assigned the title of Excellent Young Professor of Guangdong Province since 2004. In addition, He holds many social positions, such as the members of Marine Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Society of China and Association For Biochemistry and Molecular Biology of Guangdong Province.
He acquired the doctoral degree of Medical Biochemistry from Bethune Medical University and underwent postdoctoral research in key laboratory of Genetic Engineering,University of Agriculture and Animal Sciences of PLA. In the recent five years, his main research field focuses on the molecular biology of esophageal carcinoma and the development of marine anti-tumor agents. Up to now, a solid technology platform has been established in his laboratory, including gene chip, suppression subtractive hybridization(SSH), two dimensional gel electrophoresis(2DE), biological mass spectrometry, luciferase reporter assay system, RNA interference (RNAi) technology, yeast one-hybrid/two hybrid system, antibody preparation based on soluble antigen expressed from cDNA, flow cytometry (FCM), confocal laser scanning microscopy and in vivo experiment with nude mice, etc.
In these years, He has undertaken three General Programs and one International Cooperation and Communication Program from National Natural Science Foundation of China(NNSF), and one Key Program and two General Programs from Guangdong Provincial Natural Science Foundation as principal investigator. Meanwhile he has been a major participant in one Key Program and two General Program from NNSF. During the five years led by Prof. Li, the staff has published 58 articles, 29 of them are in SCI-scoped journals.

Cheng Shujun is currently as a professor of Cancer Institute (Hospital), Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences & Peking Union Medical College, Beijing, China, and Chief Scientist of both China State Key Basic Research Project “Fundamental investigation of human carcinogenesis and cancer therapy and prevention” and Beijing key Cancer Research Project “Tumor biomarker profiling and human cancer diagnosis and therapy”. He worked as a visiting scientist in Laboratoire de Medicine Experimental, Institute de la Recherches Scientifiques sur le Cancer, France (1978-1981), and in Department of Pathology, Medical College of Ohio, USA (1986-1987). He has established a series of short-term tests for the detection of environmental carcinogens and anti-carcinogens in China. He was elected as a Member, Chinese Academy of Engineering in 1999. Dr. Cheng is the President of Chinese Environmental Mutagen Society, and Vice President of China Anticancer Association. He found that the tea catechins showed a significant inhibitory effect against human genital condylomas and inflammatory hyperplasia. Based on the invention, he and his collaborators had received international patents “Composition for treating condyloma acuminate” in 1998. This invention had been approved to go for clinical phase III trial by US FDA. As invited speakers, Dr. Cheng has visited many institutes at foreign countries and attended at international conferences.
