Male,
was born on 30th July, 1966, graduated in environmental
medicine specialty of the school of public health,
Norman Bethune university of medical sciences
from 1985 to 1990. In 2000, Master's academic
degree of the hygienic toxicology specialty
was obtained. Worked in the sanitation and antiepidemic
station of Jilin province in 1990, Hygienic
supervise work of cosmetics and foodstuff successively
and Environmental health and related product
safety evaluation was involved. Then, became
the member of China Preventive Medicine Association,
member of Chinese Environmental Mutagen Society,
environmental sanitation branch secretary of
4th session at Jilin Preventive Medicine Association
( member of the standing committee ), and member
of a council at hygienic branch committee member
of foodstuff of 5th session of Jilin Preventive
Medicine Association. As a editor, he worked
in editorial department of carcinogenesis, teratogenesis
and mutagenesis in 2002, and take part in many
research and development projects such as subject
of nation " 95 " medical science science
and technology “ Emphatic pollutant of air of
indoor health harms appraising the research
investigation” etc. Among them, the subject
“Radioprotective effect of β- carotene” captured
“the army technological advanced third prizes
in 1999. Among the published papers, “Analysis
of present situation and developing of our country
oncology periodical” gained the editor publishing
the outstanding thesis second prize of specialty
in first session of Guangdong Province Science
and Technology Periodical Editor Association
in 2003.

| Cheng
Shujun is currently as a professor of Cancer
Institute (Hospital), Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences
& Peking Union Medical College, Beijing, China,
and Chief Scientist of both China State Key Basic
Research Project “Fundamental investigation of human
carcinogenesis and cancer therapy and prevention”
and Beijing key Cancer Research Project “Tumor biomarker
profiling and human cancer diagnosis and therapy”.
He worked as a visiting scientist in Laboratoire de
Medicine Experimental, Institute de la Recherches
Scientifiques sur le Cancer, France (1978-1981), and
in Department of Pathology, Medical College of Ohio,
USA (1986-1987). He has established a series of short-term
tests for the detection of environmental carcinogens
and anti-carcinogens in China. He was elected as a
Member, Chinese Academy of Engineering in 1999. Dr.
Cheng is the President of Chinese Environmental Mutagen
Society, and Vice President of China Anticancer Association.
He found that the tea catechins showed a significant
inhibitory effect against human genital condylomas
and inflammatory hyperplasia. Based on the invention,
he and his collaborators had received international
patents “Composition for treating condyloma acuminate”
in 1998. This invention had been approved to go for
clinical phase III trial by US FDA. As invited speakers,
Dr. Cheng has visited many institutes at foreign countries
and attended at international conferences. |
