| Carcinogenesis,
Teratogenesis & Mutagenesis (CTM) |
| |
¡¡¡¡Is
the official Journal of Chinese Environmental Mutagen
Society and is sponsored by Shantou University Medical
College. It is superintended by China Association for
Science and Technology (CAST) and published by Science
Press (Beijing). CTM was started in September in 1989
and is a bimonthly published.
¡¡¡¡CTM publishes the new findings in basic and clinical
(including epidemiological) research. Of special interest
to the Journal are the relationship between environmental
factors and tumorigenesis, teratogenesis, mutagensis,
and the mechanism of carcinogensis, the risk evaluation
of environmental factors as well as the exploitation
and application of anti-tumor drugs and anti-mutagens
and so on.
¡¡¡¡As a National journal aiming at the promotion of
the research on carcinogenesis, teratogenesis, mutagensis
and at the enhancement of academic exchange between
the scientists who engage in the study on oncology,
genetics, toxicology, pharmacology, and are working
for environmental protection, sanitation and epidemic
prevention, family planning as well as making pharmaceutical
and biological products. CTM invites papers from any
research institutes, universities and hospitals on all
area of environment, gene and human health, both experimental
and clinical (including epidemiological) with the following
sections:
1. Original articles
2. Review and Comments invited by the Editor
3. Cancer research
4. Test and analysis
5. Methodology
6. Mini-reviews of important topics
¡¡¡¡CTM is the source journal for Chinese Scientific
and Technical Papers and Citations, and has been included
in 14 well-known Chinese indexing systems, including
CSTPC, CEPS, CJFD, CMCC, CBMDISC, CAJ-CD and so on.
The impact factor of CTM is 0.379 and ranks fourth among

| ¡¡¡¡Cheng
Shujun is currently as a professor of Cancer
Institute (Hospital), Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences
& Peking Union Medical College, Beijing, China,
and Chief Scientist of both China State Key Basic
Research Project ¡°Fundamental investigation of human
carcinogenesis and cancer therapy and prevention¡±
and Beijing key Cancer Research Project ¡°Tumor biomarker
profiling and human cancer diagnosis and therapy¡±.
He worked as a visiting scientist in Laboratoire de
Medicine Experimental, Institute de la Recherches
Scientifiques sur le Cancer, France (1978-1981), and
in Department of Pathology, Medical College of Ohio,
USA (1986-1987). He has established a series of short-term
tests for the detection of environmental carcinogens
and anti-carcinogens in China. He was elected as a
Member, Chinese Academy of Engineering in 1999. Dr.
Cheng is the President of Chinese Environmental Mutagen
Society, and Vice President of China Anticancer Association.
He found that the tea catechins showed a significant
inhibitory effect against human genital condylomas
and inflammatory hyperplasia. Based on the invention,
he and his collaborators had received international
patents ¡°Composition for treating condyloma acuminate¡±
in 1998. This invention had been approved to go for
clinical phase III trial by US FDA. As invited speakers,
Dr. Cheng has visited many institutes at foreign countries
and attended at international conferences. |
