STUDY ON THE RELATIONSHIP BETWEEN GSTM1 POLYMORPHISM AND LUNG CANCER SUSCEPTIBILITY

Abstract

Abstract: GSTM1 is relevant degradation of environmental carcinogens entered body. Among the population with variant genetic polymorphism of GSTM1 ,may rendered variant response to expoure of environmental chemical carcinogens and result in various susceptibility. In order to study the relationship between GSTM1 polymorphism and lung cancer susceptibility ,we have examined the dist ribution of GSTM1 genetic polymorphism in lung cancer patient s and health cont rol who are native Gangdong Chinese. Result have shown that f requenty of GSTM10/ 0 genotype is significantly high in lung cancer patient s . It is suggested that there is a relationship between GSTM1 genotype and lung cancer susceptibility.
