桑芪胶囊的一般毒性和致突变性研究

General toxicity and mutagenic effects of Mulberry-Astragalus capsule

摘要: 目的:评价桑芪胶囊的一般毒性和致突变性。方法:采用小鼠急性经口毒性试验和大鼠30 d喂养试验评价桑芪胶囊的一般毒性,采用3项致突变试验(Ames试验、小鼠骨髓嗜多染红细胞微核试验和小鼠精子畸形试验)评价桑芪胶囊的致突变性,试验方法均按国家标准进行。结果:桑芪胶囊对雌、雄性小鼠的急性经口最大耐受剂量(MTD)均大于20 g/kg;3项致突变试验结果均为阴性;30 d喂养试验(最高剂量8.33 g/kg)无异常发现。结论:在本实验条件下,桑芪胶囊的一般毒性和致突变性结果均为阴性,可进一步开展桑芪胶囊降血糖等功能学研究。

Abstract: OBJECTIVE: To evaluate the general toxicity and mutagenic effects of Mulberry-Astragalus capsule. METHODS: Acute toxicity test and 30-day feeding study in rats were carried out to observe the general toxicity of Mulberry-Astragalus capsule. Ames test,bone marrow micronucleus test and sperm malformation test in mice were carried out to observe the mutagenic effects of Mulberry-Astragalus capsule. All the tests were conducted according to the standard procedures. RESULTS: MTD of Mulberry-Astragalus capsule on mice was >20 g/kg in this experiment. In the three mutagenicity tests,no mutagenic effect was seen in any Mulberry-Astragalus capsule treated groups. And in 30-day feeding study,no adverse effects were found when the highest does was 8.33 g/kg. CONCLUSION: The results from this study showed Mulberry-Astragalus capsule had no general toxicity and mutagenic effects and further functional studies,such as hypoglycemic effect could be carried out.
