Study on teratogenicity of Chrysanthemum indicum extract in SD rats

摘要: 目的: 研究菊花浸膏对SD大鼠的胚胎毒性与致畸毒性。方法:孕SD鼠分为4组,分别为菊花浸膏0.68、2.03、6.09 g/kg剂量组和对照组,每组15~16只。实验组于受孕的第7~16天连续灌胃给予菊花浸膏,每天1次,对照组灌胃给予同体积纯净水,实验期间记录孕鼠的一般状况、体质量,于受孕第20天剖检孕鼠,检查孕鼠的体质量及妊娠情况,胎鼠的胎盘质量、体质量、身长与外观、骨骼、内脏的畸形情况。结果:菊花浸膏各剂量组孕鼠增重、活胎率、吸收胎率、活胎体质量及身长与对照组比较,差异均无统计学意义(P>0.05);菊花浸膏各剂量组胎鼠的外观、骨骼及内脏未见畸形。结论:在本实验条件下,未发现菊花浸膏对SD大鼠的胚胎毒性和致畸毒性。

Abstract: OBJECTIVE: To study the embryo toxicity and teratogenecity of Chrysanthemum indicum extract in SD rats. METHODS:SD rats successfully impregnated were divided into 4 groups (15-16 animals per group),included three Chrysanthemum indicum extract dosage groups (0.68,2.03,6.09 g/kg) and one negative control group. During gestation from 7-16 days,animals were orally gavaged with Chrysanthemum indicum ectract once daily,clinical manifestations and weight of the pregnant rats were collected during the study. On the 20th day pregnant rats were euthanized and the weight of placenta,body weight and length of fetus and the appearance,visceral and skeletal malformations of fetus were examined. RESULTS:No statistically significant difference was found in all the assessed indices(including the weight gain of pregnant rats,average live fetus,absorptive fetus ratio,body weight and length of fetus) between dosage and control groups (P>0.05). CONCLUSION:Under our experimental conditions,chrysanthemum indicum extract showed no significant effects in the toxicity of SD pregnant rats,had no apparent teratogenicity and embryotoxicity.
