Expressions of Survivin and PTEN in Skin Scar Carcinoma

Abstract: BACKGROUND AND AIM: To study the relationship between the expression of Survivin and PTEN in skin scar and scar carcinoma . MATERIALS AND METHODS:The expressions of Survivin and PTEN in 10 skin scar carcinoma, 10 skin scar and 10 normal skin tissues were evaluated by the immunohistochemical method of S_P.Pictures were collected and analyzed, statistical analysis was performed by SPSS system. RESULTS:The expressions of Survivin in skin scar carcinoma and scar tissues were significantly higher than normal skin(P<0.01).However,no statistical difference was found between skin scar carcinoma and scar tissues(P>0.05).The expressions of PTEN in skin scar carcinoma and scar tissues were significantly lower than normal skin(P<0.01),and with no statistical difference between scar carcinoma and scar tissues(P>0.05). CONCLUSION: The abnormal expressions of Survivin and PTEN in skin scar and scar carcinoma tissues were correlated with malignant transformation of skin scar.
