苦瓜醇提取物对小鼠的急性经口毒性和遗传毒性试验研究

Study on the Acute and Genetic Toxicities of Ethanol Extracts from Momordica Charantia

摘要: 背景与目的:了解苦瓜醇提取物的急性经口毒性和遗传毒性,为苦瓜提取物的食用、药用安全性提供实验依据。 材料与方法: 按照《食品安全性毒理学评价程序和方法》进行急性经口LD50测定;通过Ames试验、小鼠骨髓嗜多染红细胞微核试验及小鼠精子畸形试验对其遗传毒性进行评价。 结果: 苦瓜醇提取物的急性经口LD50>21.5 g/kg;3项遗传毒性试验结果均为阴性。 结论: 在本实验条件下,苦瓜醇提取物经小鼠急性经口毒性试验属无毒,未见遗传毒性作用。

Abstract: BACKGROUND & AIM: To determine the acute oral toxicity and genetic toxicity of ethanol extracts from Momordica charantia(MC), so as to provide experimental basis for its exploitation. MATERIALS AND METHODS: The tests were performed according to GB159193_2003 Procedures and Methods for Toxicological Assessment of Food. RESULTS: The acute oral LD50 of ethanol extracts from Momordica charantia was greater than 21.5 g/kg. The genetic toxicity indicated by Ames test, micronucleus test of polychromatic erythrocytes in bone marrow and sperm shape abnormality test in mice was negative. CONCLUSION: In our experimental context, the acute toxicity of ethanol extracts from Momordica charantia was classified as non_toxic. Genetic toxicity was not found.
