Histologically intact tissue of human gast ric carcinoma SGC - 7901 maintained by passage in the subcuitis of nude mouse was implanted orthotopically into the stomach wall of SCID mouse. Their biological properties ,ways of invasion and metastasis and morphological characteristic were studied , All mice with t ransplanted tumours exhibited 100 % t ransplantability and metastatic ability ,as well as various manifestation reminescent of tumour behaviour in patients. These included :local growth ,regional invasion ,spontaneous metastasis to lymph nodes and liver ,and peritoneal seeding. RT2PCR confirmed that t ransplanted tumours had identical characteristic of expression of cell adhesion molecules P2selectin as f resh human specimens of gast ric cancer. This indicated that the microenvironment in the t ransplantation site had certain influience on the biological behaviour of the t ransplahted tumours which grew independentely in the stomach of SCID ,making a better model than that of subcutaneously t ransplanted tumours for futther study on invasion and metastasis mediated by adhesion molecules and experimental therapy further of human gast ric cancer.

The mutagenicity of 9 water ext ract s of cnidium monnieri (L. ) Cuss was studied with Ames test and micronucleus induction and chromosomal aberration assays in vivo with mice. These compounds (osthol ,Bergapten Isopimpinellin mperatorin ,Xanthotoxol , Xanthotoxin , Thymine ,Uracil an and unknown one that need authenticating) were isolated f rom the water ext racts. No mutagenic effect in test systems was shown.

The Oregon K system of Drosophila melanogaster was employed for the detection of germ cell aneuploid induced by hydroquinone (HQ) and colchicine (COL) . Adult flies were treated by feeding the chemicals. HQ at doses 12218mg/ ml and COL (2. 5 - 20μg/ ml) significantly induced the exceptional off spring (XXY, XO) derived f rom aneuploidy germ cells. It was showed than COL had much higher efficiency on aneuploid induction than HQ and shared a strong effect on chromosome lossing in treated parental males. No significant sex differences among HQ t reated animals for the chromosome lossing and mal2segregation in germ cell development were found.The experiment indicated that HQ and COL are aneugens in Drosophila germ cells.

To study the relationship between sex hormone receptors and lung tumor ,est rogen receptor ( ER) and progesterone receptor ( PR) were detected by immunohistochemical technique in mice lung tumors induced by urethane and diethylstilbest rol. The f requency of presence of ER and PR in malignant tumor were both higher than which were induced by urethane alone. Presence of ER correlated significantly with size of malignant tumors ,but not with size of benign tumors. PR did not correlate with size of both benign and malignant tumors. The ER and PR positive rates (46. 3 % and 52. 5 % respectively) of malignant tumors were significantly higher than those of benign tumors(18. 8 % and 20. 2 % respectively) . The positive rate for both ER and PR were 11.6 % in benign tumors and 31. 3 % in malignant tumors ,the negative rate were 72. 5 % and 32. 5 % respectively. The result suggested the est rogen dependency of lung tumor ,and also might be helpful for clinical endocrine therapy of lung cancer.

GSTM1 is relevant degradation of environmental carcinogens entered body. Among the population with variant genetic polymorphism of GSTM1 ,may rendered variant response to expoure of environmental chemical carcinogens and result in various susceptibility. In order to study the relationship between GSTM1 polymorphism and lung cancer susceptibility ,we have examined the dist ribution of GSTM1 genetic polymorphism in lung cancer patient s and health cont rol who are native Gangdong Chinese. Result have shown that f requenty of GSTM10/ 0 genotype is significantly high in lung cancer patient s . It is suggested that there is a relationship between GSTM1 genotype and lung cancer susceptibility.

In this paper , pollutions of automobile emission in three st reet s were monitored and DNA damage effect s of particle ext ract s were studied with sister chromatid exchangs (SCE) test in peripheral blood lymphocytes. The result demonst rated that concent rations of TSP , NOx ,SO2 , CO and Pb were interrelated with the density of motors and the situation of roads and driving status. The f requencies of SCE of particles at different st reet were increased markedly ( P < 0.05) with dose2response relationship. Min Zhu Xi Lu was the highest , then Pan Xuan Lu and Nan Guan Shizi the lowest . It also indicates that automobile emisssion pollution of this city has been very serious and may have potent carcinogen.

It was unclear about the changes of chromosome const ruction in G2 phase arrested by teniposide (VM - 26) . To that , the premature chromosome condensation (PCC) assay was used in the present study. Hela cells were cultured for 24h with 5μg/ ml (7. 75μM) VM - 26. The PCC were induced by mixing the Hela cells with mitotic CHL cells in 50 %polyethylene glycol. It was revealed that the chromosome aberrations in G2 phase yielded by the VM - 26 were mainly in two types ,the irregular condensation of the chromosomes and the type of chromosome breaks . Such aberrations might response for the DNA st rand breaks , the chromatin breaks at the scaffold attachment s and especially the breaks across the chromosome cores , due to the inhibition of the VM - 26 on topoisomerase Ⅱ. Together with the result s of the cloning efficiency by measuring the Hela cells after cultured with the VM - 26 ,it was thought that the chromosome damages might result in the cell dath when they lost the DNA , or chromosome repair in G2 phase.

purpose to explore the relation between larynx cancer and protein kinase C(PKC) as well as it s inhibitor (PKCI) . Method :using Takai protein concent ration gradient ,We measured the activity of PKC and the inhibitory percent of PKCI to PKC activity through measuring the activity of radioistope. result :the PKC activity in cellular plasma of canser tissue (6. 63 ±0. 64pmol·mg - 1·in - 1) was apparently higher than that in cellular plasma of normal tissue (4. 73 ±0. 54pmol·mg - 1·min - 1) . The PKCI inhibitory activity in cellular plasma of cancer tissue (3316 % ±7. 64 %) was apparently lower than that in cellular plasma of normal tissue (61. 3 ±7. 91 %) . conclusion :this result indicated that the rising of PKC activity of cancer tissue might be provoked by oncogene ,and the lowering of PKCI activity was due to decreased regulative ability to PKC.

To study whether Dimethylformamide and Butadiene can damage the worker’genetic materials , the paper observed 64 Dimethylformamide and Butadiene exposed workers’frequences of micronucli using the micronucleus technique , and chromosome breaks using karyotyping analysis. Dimethylformamide and Butadiene exposed workers’micronucleus rate , micronucleus cell and chromosome breaks rate are 14. 69 ‰、12. 40 ‰、1. 61 % respectively , significantly higher than cont rol group ( P < 0. 01) . The result s showed that Dimethylformamide and Butadiene can damage workers , genetic materials.

The genotoxicity and antimutagennic effect s of placental immunoregulatioan on polypeptide (PIP) against mutagen2induced chromosomal aberrations and micronuclus formation in human lymphocytes in vit ro and bone marrow of mice were studied. PIP(0. 02 and 0. 03ml/ ml) significantly inhibited spontaneous andγ rays 2induced micronucleus formation and MMC2induced chromosomal aberrations in vit ro. Mentimes PIP(0. 02 and 0. 03ml/ ml) st rongly suppressed also micronucleus formation induced by CP in PCEs of mice. PIP has no genotoxicity and has antimutagenic effect s.

This paper reported the effect of Tripterygium hypogiaucum(levl) hutch on chromosome aberration in cultured human peripheral lymphocytes. No substantial positive effect of t riptergium hypogiaucum(levl) hutch ( THH) with 5 doses level (502800μg/ ml) lath agua and alcohol ext ract s(ATH) was shown. It is proved that THH and ATH would not induce mutagenicity in this experiment .

We studied the mutation indnad by ethanol ext ract of Thladiatha dubia bunge rhizome in the bone marrow cell of mice and towards the TA98 and TA100 bactarial lines by methods of PCE2MNT and CAT of mice and Ames test . The result s indicated that 30 % and 50 % ethanol ext ract of thladiantha dubia bunge rhizome did not induce significantly increase of PCEMNF and CAP in mice. The mutagenicity of ethanol ext ract also showed negative result in Ames best . All result s indicated that ethanol ext ract of thladiantha dubia bunge rhizome is not damage effect to genetic material.

By using the bone marrow micronucleus test , the Ames test , the mutagenicity of nitroquine were studied. The result s showed that no mutagenic activity was detected.

A new sealed container for testing the mutagenicity of the volatile shbstance is designed and simple , repid and useful mutagenic quantitative method for these substances in vit ro is developed. The media/ air partition cofficient s and the concent ration in the container of the volatile ubstance are measured using the equilibration Princile. Then the concent ration of the substance tested in the media is got by simple formule. The whole procedure is completed during 4 hrs only. The given comcent ration of the volatile substance in the container can be kept , and the dose2effect relationship is clear. In Ames/ Salmenlla assay the result s suggested that , when volatile chemicals with the boiling Point of below 100 ℃are tested the mutagenic test must use the container ; when the chemicals with the boiling point of 100 ℃- 200 ℃are tested the container is still useful and elected firstly.

To distinct the mechanism of an antimutagen with SOS inductest ,the authors designed a series of lab procedures which could reveal whether the antimutagen deactivate a given mutagen ext racellularly or protect the targer cell against mutagenesis ext racellularly ,whether the antimutagen interrupt mutagensis int racellularly or has an ability to repair damage caused by the mutagen. After using Vitamin C as a standard antimutagen ,we found that the lab procedures could be put into practice effectively.
